Rapunzel

Once, there lived a king and queen who had a baby daughter named Rapunzel. Their baby had golden hair which was contained magical healing powers. A selfish old woman named Gothel heard the news and kidnapped Rapunzel. She raised her in a tower somewhere hidden.

Meanwhile, a young thief named Flynn Rider had stolen a crown from the King’s castle, and the guards chased him. He managed to run away and found a tower to hide and he climbed it.

When Flynn climbed into the tower, Rapunzel knocked him out with a frying pan. Then she took the satchel he carried and secretly hide it. Flynn Rider awoke and found himself tied to a chair with Rapunzel’s golden hair.

Rapunzel promised to return it if he could take her to see the outside world. Flynn agreed to help and let Rapunzel go on an adventure with him. Now, they were chased by Mother Gothel and the guards but they always managed to escape them.

Days passed, Rapunzel finally realized that she was the lost princess when she was in the town. Later, Flynn and Rapunzel were separated. Alas, Mother Gothel captured her.

At last, Flynn arrived to rescue Rapunzel. But Mother Gothel hurt him badly. Flynn found out her weakness and cut off Rapunzel’s hair, which lost its magic. Without it, Mother Gothel quickly aged and turned into dust. Rapunzel was now free, but Flynn was dying.

Seeing him, one of Rapunzel’s tear tears fell on Flynn. It began to glow and healed him. Lalu, Flynn brought Rapunzel back to the castle. The King and Queen were really happy to get their lost princess back. That night, the entire kingdom celebrated Rapunzel’s return.

Pinocchio the Puppet

Long time ago, there was an old carpenter named Gepetto who carved a puppet in the shape of a boy. This puppet is called Pinocchio. Gepetto wanted Pinocchio to be a living thing. A fairy heard his wish and fulfilled it.

“Pinocchio, I will turn you into a real boy. But, promise me you will be a good one. You have to respect Gepetto,” told the fairy to Pinocchio.

“I will be a good boy and respect Gepetto,” repeated Pinocchio.

The next day, Gepetto was joyful to see Pinocchio alive. He taught him to speak, walk, and read just like a human. After that, he studied at elementary school. However, he got bored of going to school everyday. He decided to go to a circus and it made him late to come home.

“Why do you come home so late, Pinocchio?” asked the carpenter

“I got a lot of assignments in school. I have to finish it with my friends,” answered Pinocchio.

However, Pinocchio’s nose grew longer indicating he was lying.

The next day, Pinocchio was kidnapped by the circus owner. The owner made Pinocchio as one of the performers because people loved to see a talking puppet. Gepetto worried about him and began to search for him anywhere. When he was looking for Pinocchio at the sea, a big wave smashed and a whale swallowed him.

Pinocchio finally escaped from the circus. He then heard that Gepetto the carpenter was swallowed by a whale. He directly went to the sea and got swallowed by the same whale. Pinocchio was happy to see the carpenter, and so did Gepetto. They both planned to go out from the whale’s stomach. The whale sneezed because of the tickling, and both carpenter and Pinocchio got out and went home safely. From that day, Pinocchio turned into a real good boy.

Thumbelina

Once upon a time, there was a kind woman who had no children, longed for a baby and would often say, “How I would love to have a baby girl, even a tiny little one.” A beautiful fairy heard her wish one day, and gave her a little seed to plant in a flowerpot. When the seed bloomed into a tulip, the woman saw a tiny, beautiful girl inside, no bigger than her thumb. She decided to call her Thumbelina. She was so small that she had a walnut shell for a bed and used petals as a blanket. Then, an ugly toad fell in love with Thumbelina.

One night when she was sleeping, he carried her off to his lily pad in a pond. Thumbelina was very unhappy. A swallow was passing by and saw how sad she looked, and said, “Come south with me to warmer lands.” Young Thumbelina flew away on the swallow’s back. They flew across the seas and came to a land of sunshine. The swallow said, ” This is my home. You can live in one of the loveliest and biggest flowers.” When Thumbelina stepped inside, she found a handsome fairy, as tiny as her, in its heart. He was the son of the king of flowers and he fell in love with Thumbelina. He asked her to marry him. So Thumbelina became queen of the flowers and the two lived happily ever after.
